PixelGuitar listens to your guitar and can film you playing, but it does all of that on your own device. We don't receive your sound, your video or your tabs. The only thing we keep is your email address, and only if you join the waitlist.

Who we are

PixelGuitar is a guitar learning app and website at pixelguitar.com. In this policy, "we" means the people who make PixelGuitar. You can reach us at hello@pixelguitar.com.

Microphone and camera

The app and this website ask for your microphone so they can hear the notes you play, and for your camera if you use Pixel Cam.

Recordings, tabs and progress

Video clips you record with Pixel Cam, tabs you open, riffs you capture and your scores stay on your device. A clip leaves your device only if you save or share it yourself. We have no accounts, so there is nothing stored about you on our side.

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we keep:

We use this only to tell you when PixelGuitar is available and, if you asked, to invite you to test it. We don't sell it, share it for marketing, or add you to other lists. It is stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare. To have your email removed, write to hello@pixelguitar.com and we'll delete it.

The waitlist is for people aged 13 and over.

Hosting, cookies and analytics

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and every file on the site, fonts included, is served from pixelguitar.com.

The app remembers small settings, like your tuning reference and best scores, in your browser's storage on your device. You can clear them at any time in the app's settings or your browser.

Changes

If we change how PixelGuitar handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If the change affects the waitlist, we'll email the people on it first.
